Hankook Tire to participate in the global automotive tuning and motorsport exhibition Essen Motor Show 2024

Seoul, Korea, November 29, 2024 — Global leading tire company Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) will participate in the Essen Motor Show 2024, a premier automotive tuning and motorsport exhibition, held in Germany from November 29 to December 8, 2024.
At the exhibition, Hankook Tire will showcase a range of products under its Hankook brand, including iON, the world’s first full-lineup EV tire brand; Ventus, its flagship tire brand; and Winter i*cept, its specialized winter tire brand. These offerings aim to introduce Hankook Tire's innovative technologies to visitors.
The iON lineup will feature the performance tire iON evo, the winter tire iON i*cept, and the all-season tire iON FlexClimate. Designed specifically for electric vehicles, the iON brand features specialized iON Innovative Technology, delivering balanced performance in grip, handling, braking, noise reduction, energy efficiency, and mileage. This ensures optimized driving performance tailored to the unique demands of EVs.
Hankook Tire will present a special version of the iON evo, which features colored treads inspired by its official EV racing tires used in the FIA Formula E World Championship. The tire will be displayed mounted on an Audi e-tron GT.
Hankook Tire has planned a variety of engaging side events for the exhibition. Highlights include an autograph session with players from Borussia Dortmund, a German Bundesliga soccer club officially sponsored by Hankook Tire since 2009, and a live car painting performance by Alexander Bloch, a German automotive designer known for his cartoon-inspired creations, featuring a Porsche 993.
Additionally, the 2024 campaign vehicle for the “Tune It! Safe!” initiative will be unveiled. Hankook Tire has been an official partner of the campaign for 18 consecutive years, beginning in 2006. Led by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport and the Association of German Automobile Tuners, the initiative promotes safe and legal automotive tuning practices.
Hankook Tire’s participation in the Essen Motor Show, alongside recent appearances at major global exhibitions such as the SEMA Show, North America’s largest automotive parts show, and Electrify Expo, the region’s biggest EV exhibition, underscores its commitment to establishing iON as a global leader in EV tire technology.
