Hankook Tire America Corp. Partners with United Way to Help Nashville Mothers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Hankook Tire America Corp. recently supported the Nashville community by donating baby supplies to help impoverished mothers and their children.

Employees from the corporation’s American headquarters donated diapers, baby lotion, socks, wipes and other essential needs to mothers of infants. Hankook donated just over 1,000 items to the drive, which was part of United Way of Metropolitan Nashville’s Titan Up for Tots Community Baby Shower. United Way will distribute the items to at-risk mothers living in the area.

“We want members of the community to know we are here for them,” said Hankook America Corp. President Hee-Se Ahn. “We desire to show support for our North American home and are honored to help families in need.”

"We appreciate Hankook Tire's involvement in this drive," said United Way of Metropolitan Nashville Interim CEO Mary Jo Wiggins. "Our community is stronger because companies like Hankook are devoted to its betterment."

Hankook Tire moved its American headquarters to Nashville less than a year ago from Wayne, New Jersey. The international tire company also invested in a manufacturing plant in Clarksville, Tennessee. The opening of the corporate office and Clarksville plant are creating hundreds of employment opportunities and strengthening the company’s presence in North America.
